IBS - Irritable Bowel Syndrome

EFT & hypnotherapy can help!

EFT can work quickly and effectively to address both the physical symptoms of IBS and any underlying emotional issues that may be contributing to the problem.

Some people find almost instant relief from their symptoms and make very rapid progress. While others are able to very quickly reduce the severity of the symptoms and learn a method to address the stress in their lives and thus avoid IBS attacks that previously would have arisen in those same situations. They then go on to take more and more control of their lives, finding that they can do the things they really want to do. Feeling more motivated, more energetic and happier, becoming free from those previously jailor-like symptoms.

Imagine taking control again … no longer being enslaved! Living life to the full without having to constantly think whether your body will allow you the freedom to act.

EFT and hypnotherapy can help manage stress and fear and help improve self-esteem and confidence.

Solutions and relief cannot be promised but experience has shown that those are exactly what have been achieved by many with EFT.

Combining the powerful techniques of EFT with the hypnotherapy techniques we utilise, we can offer you a complete therapy programme to suit your needs.

If you are unable to attend sessions, why not consider the EFT telephone consultations to help you achieve your goal? Simply contact us to talk about how we can help you.

IBS - Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a functional bowel disorder of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract characterised by recurrent abdominal pain and discomfort accompanied by alterations in bowel function, diarrhoea, constipation or a combination of both, typically over months or years. It is a common disorder effecting 1 in five people around the World. It affects people of all ages; however women represent over 70% of IBS sufferers. Symptoms range in severity from an occasional mild episode to debilitating, life-altering illness which prevents the individual form working or from functioning normally.

Common symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) may include:

·         Abdominal pain and spasm

·         Diarrhoea

·         Constipation

·         Bloated stomach

·         Rumbling noises and flatulence

·         Urgency - a need to rush and open the bowels

·         Incomplete emptying of the bowels

·         Mucus/wet back passage

·         Incontinence if a toilet is not nearby

·         A sharp pain felt low down inside the rectum

·         Nausea, belching and vomiting

·         Headaches

·         Full Bladder Feeling

·         Increased Frequency in Urination

Although the symptoms of IBS may be severe and cause a great deal of emotional distress to the sufferer, the disorder itself is not life threatening.

Stress

As with many conditions there are often emotional issues linked with the experience of IBS; by far the most common factor associated with the symptoms of IBS is stress. The vast majority of us can remember a time when our bowel function has been affected by a stressful situation such as before an exam, or an interview, or some big event or family conflict.

IBS can seem to take over but EFT and hypnotherapy can help!
